In Morocco, the hammam is much more than a treatment: it is a purification ritual, a weekly moment to let the heat relax the body and the kessa renew the skin.
Our luxury hammam in Casablanca follows this ritual step by step — steam, black soap, scrub, ghassoul, argan — in a marble-clad space, with a heated scrub table and ambient lighting adjusted throughout the treatment. You leave with clean, soft skin, deeper breathing and that feeling of lightness unique to the hammam.

How it works

Welcome and preparation
A cup of tea, a few questions about your skin and sensitivities, then a moment in the changing room. Linen is provided.

The steam
Ten to fifteen minutes in the humid heat of the hammam: pores open, muscles relax, breathing slows.

Black soap and kessa
Black beldi soap is applied all over the body, then your therapist performs the scrub with the kessa glove, which deeply removes dead skin cells.

Ghassoul and honey
Depending on the package, an Atlas ghassoul wrap purifies and softens the skin; the VIP Hammam adds a honey mask and a scalp massage.

Argan care and winding down
After rinsing, a moisturising argan oil treatment nourishes the skin. A mint tea awaits you to prolong the relaxation.

We work with the traditional ingredients of the Moroccan hammam, selected for their quality: olive-based black beldi soap, the kessa glove, ghassoul from the Atlas Mountains, argan oil and honey.
Renewed skin

Practical tips
Before and after your hammam in Casablanca
Before
- Drink plenty of water in the hours beforehand.
- Avoid a heavy meal just before the session.
- Bring a swimsuit if you wish; linen is provided.
- Let us know about any skin sensitivity or particular condition.
After
- Drink water or the tea we serve you.
- Allow yourself a few minutes of rest before leaving.
- Avoid direct sun on the same day: your skin has just been exfoliated.
- To prolong the effects, moisturise your skin over the following days.
The hammam is not recommended in case of fever, unstable cardiovascular problems or during pregnancy without medical advice. If in doubt, ask your doctor before booking.

How long does a hammam last at Arko Prestige?
The Traditional Hammam lasts 45 minutes, the Royal Hammam 1h15 and the VIP Hammam 1h30. Allow a few extra minutes for the welcome, the changing room and tea.
Can two people enjoy a hammam together?
Yes. The VIP Hammam is enjoyed as a duo in the private suite, and the Royal Duo Package adds a Californian massage and a facial for two people.
What is the difference between the Traditional, Royal and VIP Hammam?
The Traditional includes steam, black soap and the kessa scrub. The Royal adds a ghassoul wrap and a moisturising argan treatment. The VIP takes place in a private suite and adds a honey mask and a scalp massage.
How often should you have a hammam?
Moroccan tradition is weekly. For most skin types, a kessa scrub every one to two weeks is a good rhythm; your therapist will advise you according to your skin.
Can I follow a hammam with a massage?
